The agency now known as Aon Edge was initially formed in 2003 under the name Advanced Insurance Coverages for the purpose of offering excess flood insurance as an accommodation to agents selling flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program. Following sweeping congressional reforms in 2012 and 2013, Aon acquired National Flood Services in 2014, and we changed the name to NFS Edge when we launched our flagship private flood insurance solution, EZ Flood. In 2018, Aon made the decision to sell National Flood Services but retain the Edge business – as a result, we renamed the business Aon Edge.
